About Us

About the Association

Pittu (Seven Stones) is a beloved, traditional Indian game praised for fostering teamwork, agility, and problem-solving skills. It evokes strong childhood nostalgia as players knock down and rebuild a stack of stones while dodging a ball from the opposing team, blending fun with physical and mental development.

Formation

The Uttarakhand Pittu Association was formed to revive this ancient game, standardize its rules, and reintroduce it to the younger generation in schools and colleges across Devbhoomi.

Role at State Level

We are dedicated to countering the decline of traditional sports caused by modernization and loss of playgrounds. We organize professional tournaments, ensuring the game's legacy continues.
